Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TribeFC (“we”, “us”, the “App”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application. By using TribeFC you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

Account information — your email address and password (passwords are handled and stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see your plain‑text password).
Profile information — your name, username, bio, profile photo, and football preferences (favourite national team, club, and leagues).
Content you create — posts, comments, polls, poll votes, likes, and the tribes you join.
Predictions & activity — match score predictions and the XP you earn.
Device & push tokens — a push notification token used to deliver notifications to your device.
Technical data — basic information such as app version and connection status used to operate the app.

2. How we use your information

To create and manage your account and profile.
To provide core features: the feed, tribes, predictions, leaderboards, and live match information.
To send you notifications you have enabled (e.g. likes, comments, prediction results).
To maintain, secure, and improve the app.

3. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app:

Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage (your account, profile, content, and predictions).
Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers push notifications to your device.
API‑Football — provides live football match, fixture, and statistics data. We send requests for match data only; we do not share your personal information with them.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and service.

4. Public content

Posts, comments, polls, your display name, username, profile photo, and (unless you opt out) your leaderboard rank are visible to other users of the app. Please do not share information in public content that you wish to keep private.

5. Notifications

You can control which notifications you receive in Settings → Notifications, and you can turn off push notifications entirely from your device settings at any time.

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data on our Delete your account page (or by contacting us at the email below); we will remove it within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

7. Security

We use industry‑standard measures, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

8. Children’s privacy

TribeFC is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app.
